Well we’re delighted to mention our latest appearance as part of the currently broadcasting Britannia Series 3! Britannia is a high profile historical fantasy series with Portals’ own Dan Shadrake working on it! Dan mainly worked advising/storyboarding, and he also got a mention on the credits as military advisor.

“It was such a contrast to series 2”, said Dan. “Where there were hundreds of extras… in this series, just a handful. Mainly stunts and stunt action personnel.
Sometimes it was a little eerie and empty, and parts of the set had many medical staff and testing facilities. (They were pretty efficient in how they dealt with the whole Covid threat… but then they had to be).”
Colourful Historical Fiction
To serious re-enactors… Yes… we know it’s stylised and odd… and serious students of Roman history aren’t always keen… but Dan loves working on this colourful historical fiction, it’s a great experience.
The cover picture is of Dan, coordinating a scene in a temple portico. Which we can show because it features in the trailer. We can’t unfortunately show Dan’s storyboards and other pics until the entire series has been broadcast.
